2 DAYS: JINJA TOUR.
Jinja is located at the northern end on Lake Victoria in South Eastern Uganda and it is famously known for being industrious region. Lying just north of the Equator, at an altitude of 3,750 feet (1100 meters) above sea. Jinja 'Town' is situated on the east bank of the River Nile, which is the longest river in the World. It starts its 6,670 km journey from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean Sea. After what can be a very slow section getting through Kampala traffic to Mukono, the drive to Jinja passes through interesting parts of Uganda with small townships, farmland, Mabira Forest, tea & sugarcane plantations.
Various attractions in Jinja have called for many tourists and media and these include, The Source of the Nile as discovered by John Hanington Speke on August 3rd, 1858, the Itanda Falls (Formerly Bujagali Falls), the Samuka Island.
