This is the smallest of Savannah National Parks in Uganda and it only takes 4hours drive from the city center. It is a beautiful jewel found en-route to the Albertine Rift and offers a great way to view the Impalas, Buffaloes, Top is and the largest herd of Zebras the country offers together with a variety of bird life. Formerly called Toro game Reserve, it lies in the Semliki Valley on the remote, western side of the Rwenzori and it is dominated by the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin and River Semliki. Many thatched huts are shaded by West African oil palms and the local population is the Batwa pygmy community that originated from Ituri.
