Climbing the Rwenzori is one of the most rewarding activity once in the wild. The park has Africa's third highest mountain peak with many waterfalls, lakes, and glaciers. It is known for its beautiful plant life and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its outstanding natural beauty.
It lies along Uganda's border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and borders the DRC's Virunga National Park; The Park is 120 kilometres (75 mi) long and 48 kilometres (30 mi) wide. Those mountains are higher than the Alps and are ice-capped. Mount Stanley is located in the park. Margherita Peak, one of Mount Stanley's twin summits, is Africa's third highest peak with a height of 5,109 metres (16,762 ft). Africa's fourth and fifth highest peaks (Mount Speke and Mount Baker) are also located in the park. It is one of Africa's most beautiful mountain areas. During this part of the trip, you may be able to see Chimps, Black and White Colobus monkeys, elephants, Blue monkeys and the brilliantly colored Rwenzori Touraco (a bird of the tree tops).

Mount Elgon National Park is 140 kilometers northeast of Lake Victoria and covers an area of 1,279 square kilometers which is bisected by the border of Kenya and Uganda. The mountain’s cool heights are breath taking from the hot plains below, with the higher altitudes providing a refuge for flora and fauna. Hike the mountain and reach the highest peak “The Wagagai peak”, the marvelous scenery from top to bottom of the siipi falls, viewing the Gangama hill and Wanale ranges with other historical places including the Mbale city and the cultural performances cannot be missed while in Mbale. They all leave beautiful memories in your minds.
Mount Elgon is a prime trekking mountain in East Africa. Elgon is a huge volcano with the largest crater of the major peaks in Africa. The caldera is one of the world’s largest. Its name derives from the Masai of Kenya commonly known as “Ol Doinyo Ilgoon” translates as “The Breast Mountain” while on the Uganda side it is known as “The Masaba Mountain.
There are several waterfalls on the slopes, and there are even hot springs near the crater! Climbing the mountain is an experience that cannot be easily forgotten. Many travellers find Mt.
